Interpreting every patient call — without losing the chair.

Roughly one in five US dental patients speaks a language other than English at home, and most front desks aren't staffed for it. Interpreterly gives your dental office instant phone interpreter in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese (Haitian Creole coming soon).

The front‑desk problem in 60 seconds
  • 30–40% of missed‑call revenue traces to language barriers in mixed‑demographic ZIP codes.
  • Bilingual hygienists shouldn't be pulled chairside to interpret insurance calls.
  • Existing phone interpreter services charge $2–$5/min — punishing for a quick scheduling call.
Compliance Notice · Section 1557

If you accept Medicare or Medicaid, language access isn't optional — it's federal law.

Any dental practice that accepts Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, or HHS funding is a "covered entity" under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. That means you are legally required to provide qualified language assistanceat no cost to the patient — for every LEP (Limited English Proficient) caller, including by phone.

CMS's 2024 final rule explicitly names telephonic interpreter as an acceptable modality, and prohibits relying on minor children, untrained bilingual staff, or Google Translate. Interpreterly gives your practice that qualified, phone-based language assistance on every inbound and outbound call — in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese (Haitian Creole coming soon) — without per-minute interpreter billing.

Flat subscription vs ~$4,800/mo on per-minute interpreter

Dental phone interpreter built for the way a real practice runs. Interpreterly is a Spanish interpreter for dental offices, a Brazilian Portuguese interpreter for dentists, and a multilingual answering service rolled into one flat monthly price. We handle new-patient calls, insurance verification, recall reminders, post-op questions, emergency triage, and treatment-plan walkthroughs — in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese (Haitian Creole coming soon), on the phone line you already have. Interpreterly replaces over-the-phone interpreter (OPI) for dental practices that don't want $3.95/minute pricing, and replaces hiring a dedicated bilingual front-desk person at $45–55K/yr for practices that just need coverage on every call. No app on either side of the call. Cancel any time.
